October 13 - October 15

Telefónica will represent the COP-PILOT project at Network X 2026 through its participation in the ETSI workshop “Telco-Edge-Cloud in the AI Era: Building an Open Federated Digital Infrastructure”.
The workshop will bring together experts from ETSI Software Development Groups (SDGs), the newly established ETSI Technical Committee on Federated Network, Edge, Cloud and AI Technologies (TC NET), and representatives from the 3CN initiatives to discuss the evolution of cloud-native and federated digital infrastructures for the AI era.
Through its participation, Telefónica will promote the vision and objectives of COP-PILOT, highlighting the role of AI-driven automation, intelligent operations, and cloud-edge continuum technologies in future telecommunications networks.
A specific focus of the presentation will be the newly established ETSI OpenSlice Management and Orchestration (OSL) Management and Deployment Group (MDG), which introduces a business layer implementation, complementing the current service implementation framework and extending its alignment with TM Forum standards. COP-PILOT will serve as the first flagship use case leveraging these components, showcasing how AI-enabled operational processes can be combined with business intent management and standards-based orchestration to support telco services and operations.
This positions COP-PILOT as an early adopter and validation environment for emerging ETSI OSL business capabilities.
