COP-PILOT Cluster 4 Pilot 3 Demonstrates Interoperability for Vineyard Decision Support at AVIPE 2026

On 23 April 2026, COP-PILOT carried out its third Cluster 4 Smart Vineyards pilot at Filipe Palhoça Vinhos, in the context of an AVIPE event, with Terraview GmbH and OneSource as the main contributing partners. The pilot demonstrated the Water Utilisation Efficiency use case in a real vineyard environment, combining soil-moisture sensing, drone-based monitoring, edge computing, and vineyard analytics within a unified COP-PILOT workflow.

The activity validated the ability of the COP-PILOT platform to integrate heterogeneous data sources and orchestrate analytics services across different vineyard settings while maintaining operational consistency. Around 40 farmers and vineyard stakeholders attended the demonstration, providing valuable feedback on how integrated sensing, edge processing, and analytics can support more informed and sustainable decision-making in precision viticulture. The pilot further reinforced COP-PILOT’s objectives related to interoperability, portability, and scalable digital solutions for agriculture.
