Cluster 4 partners represented COP-PILOT Horizon at the 5G Forum 2026, a major telecommunications and digital innovation congress held from 12 to 15 May 2026 at the Cartuja Auditorium in Sevilla TechPark, Seville, Spain.
Cluster 4 was represented by Nokia, accompanied by other COP-PILOT project partners, including the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV). Their participation provided an opportunity to increase the visibility of the project and engage with stakeholders from the telecommunications industry, research organisations, public administrations, and the wider European innovation ecosystem. In this case a poster at the Nokia booth was presented and lot of questions about the experimentation site were answered at this event.
The ninth edition of the 5G Forum focused on the practical implementation and future development of advanced connectivity technologies. Its programme addressed topics including private and mission-critical networks, artificial intelligence, edge computing, cybersecurity, satellite communications, the transition towards 6G, and the application of these technologies in sectors such as industry, healthcare, mobility, emergency services, agriculture, and smart cities.
The congress brought together leading network operators, technology manufacturers, universities, research centres, public institutions, and specialist professionals. Through presentations, panel discussions, demonstrations, exhibition activities, and networking sessions, participants exchanged knowledge about emerging technologies and real-world applications of advanced mobile networks.
Participation in the 5G Forum enabled Cluster 4 partners to present COP-PILOT within an important Spanish and European connectivity forum, establish links with relevant industrial and academic stakeholders, and contribute to discussions on programmable networks, AI-enabled services, sustainable connectivity, and the future evolution from 5G towards 6G.
