With €4 million allocated to fund around 20 projects through its Open Calls, COP-PILOT is inviting innovators, industry players, and application providers to test, validate, and integrate their solutions across diverse infrastructures and sectors. The first Open Call launches in January 2026 , followed by a second call later in 2026. The winning projects are to advance emerging technologies and also to enhance the COP-PILOT Collaborative Open Platform, enabling seamless cross-platform integration and real-world adoption. The overall aim of the COP PILOT Horizon Project is to create a collaborative, open platform that orchestrates complex digital services across IoT, edge, core, and cloud. By combining AI-driven automation, zero-trust security, and seamless orchestration, COP PILOT ensures that services are delivered securely, efficiently, and in full compliance with strict SLA requirements.

This Cluster aims to transform the mining industry through cutting-edge Edge-to-Cloud orchestration. Deployed across Norrbotten, Kiruna, and Luleå, this cluster unites mining operators, technology providers, and service partners to integrate real-time logistics monitoring, seismic data analytics, and predictive maintenance into one intelligent ecosystem.
By securely connecting data and systems across multiple companies, Cluster 1 demonstrates how advanced digital solutions can boost safety, efficiency, and sustainability in mining — setting the stage for smarter operations and innovation worldwide.

In this video, we introduce the partners driving innovation in Cluster 1: Business Integration in Mining, under the COP-PILOT Horizon project. This video presents COP-PILOT Horizon’s Cluster 2, focused on building smarter, more sustainable cities and infrastructures through advanced Edge-to-Cloud integration.
Based in Spain, Cluster 2 brings together seven entities across Valencia and Madrid to pilot intelligent digital solutions in real-world urban environments. From smart mobility in the city of Valencia to logistics innovations at the port, and resource management on the university campus, each use case is designed to drive meaningful impact. In Almussafes, the cluster addresses public protection and disaster relief (PPDR), tackling real risks like regional flooding.
By closely engaging with city authorities, port terminals, and university leadership, Cluster 2 ensures that the solutions developed are grounded in the region’s actual needs.
Through these pilots, Cluster 2 demonstrates how digital platforms can enhance sustainability, resilience, and quality of life — laying the foundation for scalable, future-ready cities across Europe.

In this video, we introduce the partners behind Cluster 2: Smart Cities/Smart Buildings, within the COP-PILOT Horizon project.
Meet the seven Spanish entities driving innovation across four pilot scenarios — from smart mobility in the City of Valencia to sustainability-focused use cases in Almussafes, the Port of Valencia, and the UPV campus.
This cluster is led by the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), supported by key stakeholders and technology partners. Discover how the City of Valencia, the Valencia Port Foundation, Ayuntamiento de Almussafes, and UPV contribute to the four real-world environments for testing. Telefónica, Fivecomm, and Nespra bring cutting-edge IoT, connectivity, and monitoring solutions to life.
Together, these partners are co-developing sustainable digital solutions that redefine how cities and buildings are managed — enhancing urban living while preparing the groundwork for scalable smart city deployments across Europe.

This video presents COP-PILOT Horizon’s Cluster 3, the Greek Cluster, which spans across Agriculture (Cluster 3A) and Energy (Cluster 3E) domains.
Cluster 3 explores how data from diverse sources (including IoT devices, unmanned vehicles, and renewable energy systems) can be integrated and exchanged to improve operations.
In the Agriculture domain, it prepares the ground for data-driven monitoring of crops and logistics from production to delivery.
In the Energy domain, the cluster monitors renewable energy sources and forecasts power injections to the grid.
The video highlights how Cluster 3 establishes interoperability between partners, sets up testbeds, and enables applications that can safely and efficiently use shared data to support energy management and agricultural planning.

This video introduces the partners driving Cluster 3 of the COP-PILOT Horizon project, covering both the Energy (3E) and Agriculture (3A) domains in Greece.
In the Energy Cluster, major contributors include DEI/PPC, the country’s leading power operator, biogas producer BPO, the University of Patras, P-NET, and SME Enakronik, all collaborating to develop testbeds, simulations, and innovative energy solutions.
The Agriculture Cluster brings together key players such as Barba Stathis, the Agricultural University of Athens, AgroApps, iLINK, and Ubitech, working to prepare smart farming solutions and data-driven approaches for crop monitoring, logistics, and sustainability.
Together, these partners combine expertise to enable interoperability, secure data sharing, and the orchestration of applications across energy and agricultural use cases.

This video presents a demo prepared by the COP-PILOT Horizon and ACROSS Horizon projects as part of the ETSI ZSM Proof-of-Concept #16.
It focuses on Scenario 1 – Onboarding a new private domain. In this scenario, the owner of a private domain in Patra, Greece, becomes a new customer of the orchestration platform and integrates their domain into the system. The demo illustrates how the platform securely registers private resources, following zero-trust principles, and enables IT services through edge cloud and 5G infrastructure for local stakeholders.
The scenario highlights how new domains can be added with minimal setup, eliminating the need for VPNs and complex infrastructure configuration.

This video presents Scenario 2 of the ETSI ZSM Proof-of-Concept #16, prepared by the COP-PILOT Horizon and ACROSS Horizon projects.
In this scenario, a new customer in the previously onboarded private domain in Patra, Greece, deploys a 5G video streaming service across multiple sub-domains. The demo illustrates how the orchestration platform enables the deployment of a complex service almost fully automatically, without VPNs or manual configuration.
The scenario highlights how private resources can be rapidly integrated, while maintaining full encryption, zero-trust security, and a reliable, fast path for service deployment.

This video presents Scenario 3A of the ETSI ZSM Proof-of-Concept #16, prepared by the COP-PILOT Horizon and ACROSS Horizon projects.
In this scenario, after a service has been deployed, the service owner requests additional runtime security for specific components to protect against potential cyber threats. The orchestration platform demonstrates how a security service can be deployed instantly, without disrupting the running service.
The demo highlights the platform’s ability to provide security-as-a-service through automated orchestration, delivering rapid, zero-configuration protection tailored to the customer’s needs.

This video presents Scenario 3B of the ETSI ZSM Proof-of-Concept #16, prepared by the COP-PILOT Horizon and ACROSS Horizon projects.
In this scenario, the service owner sets a Service Level Agreement (SLA) for the deployed 5G video streaming service. The orchestration platform uses a predictive analytics model to monitor service telemetry and forecast potential SLA violations.
The demo shows a closed-loop interaction between the central domain in Athens and the edge domain in Patra, allowing the platform to adapt the service proactively, ensuring uninterrupted performance, avoiding SLA penalties, and supporting customer satisfaction and business continuity.
